One of our most important functions is to monitor legislative proposals and policy initiatives that have an impact on our membership, and to advocate for positions that promote and defend the interests and rights of workers. The Mid-South Carpenters Regional Council is actively involved in politics on the federal, state and local levels, and we help our individual members to speak in a strong, unified voice that gets heard in the halls of government.
MSCRC is continuously monitoring the political agenda within our jurisdiction. Political Action Committees (PAC) have been established within all six of our affiliated Local Union Offices. You can become a PAC volunteer and help protect the rights of working men & women!
Contact your Local Union Office for information on how to get involved in your Local Union Political Action Committee. Members can volunteer and participate on an ongoing basis.
Each MSCRC Affiliated Local Union has a Carpenters In Action (CIA) Program. Information on how to become involved is discussed at each local union meeting. If you wish to participate in CIA activities contact your Local Union. All members are encouraged to become involved.
